Requirements:
- Valid Washington State dental hygiene license
- Dental Hygiene experience in a dental practice preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health principles
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and effectively encourage and educate patients on oral health care

Position: Dental Assistant
Job Summary: Care for each patient and team member with a smile!
Support team members and Doctor, providing safe and sterile instruments, an energetic can-do attitude, and sincere care for patients and each other. We strive to break dental office stereotypes by providing warm, caring, quick, beautiful, dental care in a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities and Duties (abbreviated)
- Ensure the Doctor has all necessary instruments and supplies to perform scheduled treatment.
- Love learning.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and Infection Control policies and standards including instrument sterilization and logs.
- Set up and ‘turn’ operatories as needed to accommodate patient flow.
- Clearly and effectively communicate with other team members and Doctors.
- Maintain dental supply inventory.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Take diagnostic digital xrays and intraoral images.
- Help patients to feel as physically and emotionally comfortable as possible.
- Create and maintain comprehensive clinical patient chart notes.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and temporarily bond them.
Qualifications and Skills (abbreviated)
- Smile and laugh easily.
- Highly organized.
- Warm, caring, and fun attitude and personality to help patients feel comfortable and clearly communicate with patients and team.
- Comfortable and effective using a dental practice management software (Open Dental preferred).
- Fluent in spoken and written English (Fluent in spoken and written Spanish a plus).
- Ortho experience a plus.
- Education minimum: High School diploma or equivalent, BLS (CPR and AED) certified, current with vaccines and immunizations.
- Registered as a Dental Assistant with the Washington State Department of Health.
- Able to perform four-handed dentistry.
Physical and Environmental Requirements (abbreviated):
- Cheerful in a fast-paced, high energy and at times high anxiety environment.
- Lift up to 20 pounds.
- Good hand eye coordination for detailed work with objects.
- Must be able to move throughout the day: sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc.
- Vision requirements including close, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week
